Family reunification

We have processed number of successful immigration applications in Ireland

Department of Justice states that family reunification with an Irish citizen or certain categories of non-EEA persons lawfully resident will be facilitated as far as possible where people meet the criteria. It is also considered that family reunification contributes towards the integration of foreign nationals in the State. Furthermore, special consideration will also be given to cases where one of the parties concerned is an Irish citizen child.

In most cases for family reunification, it must be shown that the Irish national was not totally or predominately reliant on social welfare benefits from the Irish State for a continuous period in excess of 2 years immediately prior to the application and must have earned a cumulative gross income over and above any State benefits of no less than €40,000 over the three-year period prior to the application. Different criteria apply on non-EU citizens legally residing in Ireland

The onus is on the applicant to show the financial criteria are satisfied, and the State may consult with the Revenue Commissioners as appropriate.
